Prompt and professional. Identified wasps entering through roof vent and eliminated the pests and fabricated meshes to prevent future entries.

Signs You Need Wasp Removal in Glendale

Busy Bee treats and removes paper wasp and mud dauber nests at Glendale homes, with a free inspection first. In Glendale the plants come up on our invoices more than any other spot: hedges and shrubs, palms, lantana, fountain grass, yucca and the vines on back walls. Patio ceilings, fans and light fixtures and the roofline (eaves and roof tile) come next, roughly evenly.

Call when you see any of these:

  • Wasps flying in and out of the same hedge or shrub, especially one near the pool
  • A gray comb on a patio ceiling, a ceiling fan or a light fixture
  • Steady traffic at one spot under the roof tile or along the metal roof flashing
  • Wasps landing at the pool edge when you can't find a nest anywhere
  • Combs hanging from the eaves or stuck to a block wall column
  • A comb on the grill, in a patio umbrella or on a patio camera

A comb deep inside a hedge or a vine is easy to miss. The technician checks inside the shrubs and vines as well as the patio and the roofline, and a nest sealed inside roof tile or metal flashing is treated where it is.

Open Paper Wasp Comb, the Nest We Remove Most in Glendale

No outer shell, just open cells on a single stalk. In Glendale we find more of these in shrubs and hedges than under eaves.

Wasps Guarding an Active Comb

Trim a hedge or switch on a patio fan with a comb in it and the wasps come off the comb to defend it. Keep people and pets back until the nest has been treated.

Mud Daubers: Mud Tubes, Not Paper Combs

Mud daubers build tubes of dried mud on walls, window frames and entry ceilings, and they are generally less aggressive than paper wasps. Eight of our Glendale wasp visits since 2023 involved mud daubers.

How a Glendale Wasp Visit Works

Six steps, from your call to screening a vent the wasps keep reusing.

Paper Wasps Building Inside a Pipe Opening
In Glendale we have removed a nest from the duct of a bathroom fan, and in July 2026 we closed a stove fan vent with galvanized hardware cloth to keep wasps from nesting in it.

Glendale Wasp Removal from Our Cave Creek Road Office

Glendale is served from our Phoenix office (14819 N Cave Creek Rd Ste 2, Phoenix 85032).

Our technicians work at Glendale addresses nearly every week, with more than 900 bee, wasp and rodent visits there since 2023. The same crews handle bee removal in Glendale and rodent control in Glendale, and on three Glendale visits since 2025 the technician treated a honey bee colony and wasp nests on the same trip. Across the line in Peoria, see wasp removal in Peoria.

We cover all of Glendale, including north Glendale around Arrowhead Ranch (85308 and 85310), the older neighborhoods in 85301, 85302, 85304 and 85306 and the newer homes around Westgate (85305).

Why Glendale Homeowners Call Busy Bee

  • We search the landscaping. Hedges, vines, palms and the pool plants get the same look as the eaves, because shrubs and hedges are the spot our Glendale invoices name most often.
  • Every nest found is treated. The ones we can reach come down on the same visit, and the nest sites get a residual treatment.
  • Extra nests are your call. Nests beyond those covered by the visit price are an add-on, and you agree to them before we take them down.
  • Wasps and honey bees, one company. The crews that handle Glendale wasp nests also handle bee colonies in walls, roofs and block.
  • 1,800+ five-star Google reviews across the Valley, and a free inspection on every job.

Where Wasps Nest in Glendale, by Part of Town

More than half of our Glendale wasp visits since 2023 were in 85308 and 85310 in north Glendale. Most of the rest were in the older ZIP codes 85301, 85302, 85304 and 85306, and ten were in 85305 around Westgate.

North Glendale (85308 and 85310): yards with thirty years of growth

Most homes in 85308 and 85310 were built in the 1980s and 1990s, and in 85310 close to two-thirds went up in the 1990s alone, according to Census figures. A yard planted then has had three decades to fill in. One June 2026 visit in 85310 took 16 nests out of a ficus hedge, a bush by the pool, fountain grass, yucca and the front patio ceiling, and a September 2025 visit in 85308 found 26 in lantana, pencil cactus and the bushes around the pool.

Two-story homes add a second layer. We have treated four nests under second-story roof tile on an 85310 home, and at another found ten or more nests tucked into the metal roof flashing and the gaps in the beams.

The older ZIP codes: 85301, 85302, 85304 and 85306

The median home in these four ZIP codes was built between 1977 and 1982, per Census figures. Yards here can hold a lot of nests. In June 2026 two visits in 85302 took down 19 and 21 paper wasp nests, from front-yard bushes and backyard vines to a block wall, a shop, the eaves and a patio ceiling fan, and a July 2026 visit in 85301 found 37. One 2026 visit took a nest off a first-floor patio at a multi-building complex.

Westgate (85305): newer homes

About seven in ten homes in 85305 were built in 2000 or later, per Census figures. Our visits there have taken nests out of palm trees, off the roofline, from a backyard bush and from a back patio camera.

Pools: wasps from over the wall

Thirteen of our Glendale wasp visits mention the pool, nine of them in 85308 and 85310. On several, some of the wasps at the water were nesting outside the yard: across the street, at a neighbor's, or in greenbelt shrubs, where on one July 2026 visit the technician tracked them over the back wall. The questions below cover what we can do about nests off your property.

For the first signs of a new nest, read how to tell if wasps are building a nest; to identify the paper wasps you are seeing, see the yellow paper wasp guide.

Glendale Wasp Removal Questions

Are the wasps in my Glendale yard paper wasps or yellowjackets?
Almost certainly paper wasps. Of our Glendale wasp invoices since 2023 that name the wasp, every one names paper wasps or mud daubers, and none names yellowjackets. Paper wasps hang an open gray comb from a single stalk under a patio ceiling, on a fan, in a light fixture or deep inside a shrub. Mud daubers build tubes of dried mud instead.
Why do I keep finding wasp nests in my hedges?
A thick, shaded hedge shelters a paper wasp comb much like an eave does, and many yards in 85308 and 85310 were planted in the 1980s and 1990s and have filled in since. Hedges, shrubs and wall vines all appear on our recent Glendale invoices. A nest can sit well inside the plant, so the technician searches each shrub before treating anything.
Wasps keep landing in my pool but I can't find a nest. What can you do?
First we search your yard, because on many Glendale pool calls there are nests in the plants around the water. If the wasps are flying in from a greenbelt, a neighbor's yard or across the street, we take down the nests we can reach on your property and treat the wasps working the pool edge with a residual product meant to be carried back to their nest. We can't treat a nest on HOA or neighbor property without the owner's permission, so we tell you which way the wasps are heading.
Is there a nest in my patio ceiling fan or light fixture?
If wasps keep landing on the same fan or fixture, a nest is probably there or being started. Switch the fan off, keep people out from under it and call. We remove the comb and treat the fan or light itself, with the goal of keeping wasps from building there again.
Do you remove wasp nests from HOA common areas in Glendale?
Yes, when the association asks us to. On one north Glendale HOA job we took more than 30 nests out of the common-area shrubs. If the nest is on common ground, call your management company first; a nest on your own lot can be booked directly.
When is wasp season in Glendale?
Our Glendale wasp calls peak from May through July. More than half of our Glendale wasp visits since 2023 fell in those three months, and June was the busiest. Calls pick up in March and keep coming into October. Activity can start even earlier: in February 2026 we inspected an 85310 home where golden paper wasps were scouting the eaves and roof tile before any nest had been built.
Can wasps be relocated like honey bees?
No. A paper wasp nest can't be moved alive, so it is treated, and taken down where it can be reached. Honey bees are a different job: we treat most colonies where they are, and on request we relocate a colony alive if it can be moved. The same crews handle bee removal in Glendale.
How is a Glendale wasp visit priced?
The inspection is free. The technician walks the yard, the patio and the roofline, counts the nests and gives you the price before any work begins. In Glendale, more than four in ten of our wasp invoices since 2023 include an add-on for extra nests found on the same visit, and you approve it before those nests come down.
