Signs You Need Wasp Removal in Peoria
Busy Bee handles paper wasp and mud dauber nests at Peoria homes, from the pool yard to the second-story roofline, and every job starts with a free inspection. The pool comes up on 17 of our 72 Peoria wasp visits since 2023, about one in four. The nests behind that traffic have been in the vines and lantana behind a pool, a poolside gazebo, palms by the water, or outside the yard altogether.
Call when you see any of these:
- Wasps skimming the pool or landing on the coping through the afternoon
- A gray comb in the peak of a ramada, a gazebo or a patio roof
- Wasps working in and out of front-yard shrubs, rosemary or pergola vines
- Activity in a birdhouse, a palm or the ficus trees beside the grill area
- Nests along an upper roofline that you can only see from the back of the yard
- Mud tubes around the front door, a sliding door or a side vent
A nest on a second-story roofline or inside a vent is not a garden-hose job. Leave it alone, keep people back and call; the technician treats it from outside.
Open Paper Wasp Comb, the Nest Behind Most Peoria Calls
Our Peoria job records name paper wasps on 53 visits and mud daubers on 8, and none name yellowjackets.
Wasps on an Active Comb
A comb in a ramada peak or a pergola vine can hang directly over the seating. Move the chairs and keep kids and pets out from under it until it has been treated.
Mud Dauber on Its Tube Nest
Mud daubers came up on 8 of our Peoria wasp visits, all between late June and early October. They are usually less aggressive than paper wasps.
What Happens on a Peoria Wasp Visit
The technician walks the pool yard, the front yard and both stories before quoting, so nests in the palms or up on the second-story roofline are part of the price you agree to.
Wasps Building Inside a Pipe Opening
Openings get used in Peoria as well. On one job we took nests out of a fireplace exhaust and then did exclusion work on that vent; on another, a nest came out of a hole in an outlet cover and the patio openings were sealed.
Combs Taken Down After Treatment
A comb comes down only after it has been treated, and only where the technician can reach it. Each spot where a nest hung then gets a residual treatment.
Removed Paper Wasp Combs
Combs like these add up. Four of our Peoria visits, all of them in 2026, each took down more than 20 nests.
Peoria Is Served from Our Phoenix Office on Cave Creek Road
Peoria wasp calls are booked and run from 14819 N Cave Creek Rd Ste 2, Phoenix, AZ 85032.
We have had technicians in Peoria every week of 2026 so far, and have made more than 800 bee, wasp and rodent visits across the city since 2023. Busy Bee also handles bee removal in Peoria and rodent control in Peoria, so a bee colony found during a wasp visit doesn't need a second company. Next door in Glendale, see wasp removal in Glendale.
We cover all of Peoria, from Old Town and the older streets of 85345 through Fletcher Heights to Westwing Mountain and Vistancia in 85383, the ZIP code where most of our Peoria wasp visits have been.
Why Peoria Homeowners Call Busy Bee
- The whole yard, both stories. We check the front-yard shrubs, the pool plants, the ramada, the palms and the pergola, then both rooflines.
- Treated first, taken down where reachable. Every nest we find is treated, the reachable combs come down, and each spot gets a residual treatment before we leave.
- Add-ons priced first. Extra nests found on the visit, and a residual treatment for wasps flying in from outside the yard, are priced before we do them.
- Wasp or honey bee, we say which. On one 2026 visit in 85345 the technician found two paper wasp nests in a tree beside a honey bee colony and treated both.
- 1,800+ five-star Google reviews and licensed, insured technicians, AZ License #10332.
What Our Peoria Wasp Calls Turn Up: Shrubs, Shade Structures, Pools and Upper Rooflines
Of our 72 Peoria wasp visits since 2023, 49 were in 85383, the north Peoria ZIP code that takes in Westwing Mountain and Vistancia, so most of what follows comes from those yards.
Shrubs and vines
Shrubs come up on 20 of our 72 Peoria wasp visits, more than any other part of the yard or house: front-yard bushes, rosemary, oleanders, bougainvillea, lantana and the vines on top of a pergola. One October 2025 visit took 14 nests out of a single yard's bushes and vines. In 85382 we have taken nests out of the ficus beside a grill area and an outdoor fireplace, and out of a birdhouse hanging from a side-yard tree.
Ramadas, gazebos and patio ceilings
Shade structures hold nests too. Ramada roofs, a poolside gazebo, a shed roof, patio ceilings, light fixtures and an outside fan have all held nests on our Peoria visits. On one May 2026 visit a ramada, a shed roof and the oleanders held 19 nests between them.
Pools draw wasps from outside the yard
Water brings paper wasps to the pool, and the nest is not always on the property. On one June 2026 visit our technician watched wasps leave a pool for at least five different places outside the yard. On a July 2026 call in 85345 it was the same story with golden paper wasps: no nests on the property, and every wasp at the pool flying in from somewhere else.
On your property we treat every nest we find and take down the ones we can reach. When wasps keep coming in from off the property, we can add a residual treatment of the pool perimeter, the plants around it, the patio edges and the wasps leaving the water, meant to reach the nest they fly back to. It is priced before the work starts.
Second-story rooflines
Upper rooflines come up on five of our Peoria wasp visits. One two-story home had more than 40 nests across both rooflines, a second-story patio roof, a vent and the backyard shrubs; another had seven under the upper roof tile and in a side vent. Nests up there are hard to see from the patio and out of reach from the ground. In 85345 we have treated a nest inside the roof tile itself.
From across the yard, watch where the wasps go after they drink. Into the shrubs, the ramada, a palm, up to the second story or over the back wall: that tells the technician where to start. For the tile line, rooftop AC units and patio gear, read our walk-around of where wasps nest on a Peoria house; for why the same wasps keep visiting the water, the yellow paper wasp guide explains it.
